Laura Angeles has over four years of experience in Customer Service and Inside Sales, with a strong foundation in customer service gained from her five years in the food industry. Before joining Siftex Equipment Company Inc., Laura pursued her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Connecticut, where she honed her skills in communication and problem-solving. Her diverse experience and commitment to customer service have made her an invaluable part of the Siftex team.

As a Customer Service Representative at Siftex, Laura’s primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction. Her day-to-day responsibilities include discussing applications with customers to find the best connector solutions, providing quotes, and giving updates on orders such as tracking and estimated ship dates. Additionally, she works closely with vendors to meet deadlines and minimize downtime for customers. Laura’s role requires extensive product knowledge across a wide range of industries, including food production, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, making her a versatile and knowledgeable resource for Siftex’s clients.

One of Laura’s proudest accomplishments at Siftex is her ability to adapt and grow within the company. When the Sewing Department needed help during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Laura stepped in as a seamstress, helping to produce masks. From there, she transitioned into Production, where she learned how to hot air weld and became a Production Assistant. Eventually, she was given the opportunity to train as a Customer Service Representative, a role she embraced and continues to excel in today. Her willingness to take on new challenges and learn from different departments has given her a well-rounded understanding of the company.

Laura describes herself as reliable, detail-oriented, and a multitasker—qualities that have been critical to her success. Her ability to juggle various tasks while maintaining accuracy has allowed her to meet the needs of Siftex’s diverse clientele.

To stay current with industry trends, Laura keeps herself informed through materials from vendor trade shows such as Pack Expo and the Powder Show. Her long-term career goal is to continue improving and advancing within Siftex. With the guidance and support of her mentors, Carley (Director of Sales) and Katty (General Manager), Laura feels confident in her ability to grow and succeed within the company.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys reading and shopping. She values kindness, responsibility, and respect in the workplace, and she’s motivated by the positive leadership at Siftex. A personal achievement Laura is particularly proud of is her journey of establishing a life and career in the United States after arriving without knowing any English—a testament to her resilience and determination.
